A curious and passionate of science and knowledge with a profound respect for the wildlife... Born and raised in Genoa (Italy) and seasoned in Roskilde (Denmark) for the past 11 years.

This page intends to present my ongoing research and teaching activities and aims at complementing my personal DTU webpage with other information that may be of interest also to non-technical people willing to know more about how the electrical power system is working (and evolving) and on the characteristics of distributed energy resources (not just renewable) such as wind, solar, electric vehicles.

About me - technically speaking

I was born in Genoa, Italy, in March 1983. I received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Genoa, in February 2005 and November 2007, respectively and the European Ph.D. degree in power systems, from the same university in March 2011 with a dissertation related to wind and storage modeling and integrated control.

I teach two courses at master level on wind integration and distributed energy technologies and is involved in four research projects: EV4EU, focusing on developing and testing V2X strategies; H2020 Insulae, where is responsible for the demonstration activities on the island of Bornholm on technologies for energy decarbonization; Danish funded Topcharge, where a new innovative storage system for EV fast-charging buffering is being developed; Danish funded ACDC, where he is leading the development of a new autonomous electric vehicle smart charging technology.

Since May 2022, I have been leading a section with 24 researchers focusing on e-mobility and prosumers integration.
